Between Mobile Phone and Smartphone, there is more: The Elm, wherewith Sony Ericsson seems to try combining a normal cellphone and the functionality of a smartphone. Unfortunately, with limits you can't just look over.

Quick Review
It sure is a great mobile phone - like 1000's of others. It also has High-Speed Mobile Broadband and Wi-Fi. But if you really want to use it as a smartphone, when it comes to browsing the web, checking e-Mails, have a look on facebook and twitter (all of which is easily possible) - as you see on the picture, it has a simple numpad - no touchscreen-keyboard or something similar, which makes it pretty lame to type text ... especially in todays world with all the HTC's, Blackberrys and iPhones, where this is a lot easier.
An application that surprised me in a positive way is Google Maps for Elm, which has an really easy and quick handling. Reading (not writing, reading!) twitter or facebook messages also runs smoothly and fine. The quality of the built-in Camera is OK, however not amazing.
Conclusion
Overall it reminds me of a "Super-k610i" (i once posessed a k610i and - back then - really liked it). But today, a few years, iPhones (and iPhone copys) later - i recommend to ask yourself the question: is it really worth to pay 160 Bucks for (kind of a) "half" smartphone - if a smartphone is what you actually really want? Well, if this description did not keep you from wanting to buy an "Elm" (right now) - it seems to be just the phone for you.
